Modernization of Laboratory Equipments in Royal Commission Hospital & New Hormones Investigation Equipment

Recently The Health Services Department in the Royal Commission – Jubail had modernized the lab. equipments in the RCH. The modernization included many equipments, tools, apparatus & machines that have been used in performing the medical tests. The peculiarities of these new equipments represent in its high speed and accuracy. These equipments are considered as latest one use in the medical field tests.

According to Dr. Medhat Nawara the chief of Laboratory Dept. the modernization has included:

• The Serums equipments, hence the new installed one is capable to perform the required investigations & to discover the Viral Diseases like: Hepatitis (A, B, C), Aids & other Viral Diseases.

• Modernization of Blood Investigation Equipment.

• Clinical Chemistry Equipment, the new one is used to test the Kidney & liver Functions and the heart enzymes beside the different fat problems (Cholesterols).

The new Hormones Investigation Apparatus which has been fixed in the RCH is considered as the first one of this kind use in the Middle East Region.

This Apparatus distinguished with the following merits:

• Test of various Goiters Diseases.

• Test of Infertility.

• Test of Malignant Tumors such as Prostate, Colon and Liver Cancer and give accurate & immediate results.

Engineer Surag Habaish the Acting Director of Health Services Department said: The modernization of the Equipments in the RCH Hospital is going on fast& continuously. He added the Royal Commission is planning to make the RCH as one of modern hospitals in the Eastern Region. The new equipments are managed and operated by high qualified technical Staff.
