The Obesity Clinic
has been opened in the Royal
Commission Hospital. The goal of
this clinic is to reduce and to
treat the obesity cases. This
program is under supervision of a
medical team consisted of:
In this Clinic a medical examination
is done including the following:

Clinical and
laboratory examination.

Taking the measurement of the body
(Weight, tall, neck circumference,
waist circumference and pelvic
circumference for female).

Study the history of the patient
to know the reasons of the obesity.

The role of dietitian and Health
Education is: To understand the
patient life style.

To recognize the patient wrong
customs during eating to reach the
real reasons lead to the obesity.

To explain to him the different
between his food pattern and the
correct one and his wrong habits.
This program was developed taking
into account the health awareness
and education of the community
through:

Spreading of Health Programs.
-
Education of patients within T.V.
and Broadcasting.

Lectures and Symposiums.
-
Distributing of books and booklets
regarding obesity.
Hundreds of patients are followed
this program. Their conditions
improved gradually and some of them
lost %10 of their weight within
three months. The difficult cases
will be treated surgically.
