Pediatrics Department

The Paediatric Department-3A consists of 34 Beds capacity, Medical, Surgical , ENT, Neurosurgery, Optha, Orthopedic and Day Case admission for minor surgery and other procedure. One Senior VIP, One Junior VIP , two Isolation rooms and one Playroom complete with different kinds of toys for the children.

We have dedicated Team of Pediatrician and Nurses who try their best to create familiar and homely atmosphere for kids.

GOAL 1

To develop staff development program

OBJECTIVES

1. To upgrade Pediatric staff, CPR, IV therapy, Infection control, Code green, Fire safety.
2. To review and upgrade Nurse/ Patient drive educational programs.
3. Work with QI to develop more quality improvement in the unit.
4. To upgrade staffs and ability to use the computer.
5. To participate to the external seminars and training, like medical outreach training program in King Faisal Specialist, Riyadh.

GOAL 2

To upgrade patients nursing care using modern and highly advanced facilities

OBJECTIVES

1. To order more Pediatric cardiac monitor and some other equipment accessories for the proper monitoring of the patient.
2. To communicate with the Pediatricians about the purchase of more additional equipment necessary for the care of the Pediatric patient in the unit.

GOAL 3

To develop orientation program for the new staff

OBJECTIVES

To upgrade the units orientation booklet not only for the nurses but also for the Nursing Aide and Ward Clerk.

GOAL 4

Improve the cleanliness & orderliness of the unit

OBJECTIVES

To create a daily time cleaning allocations for the house keeping staff assigned in the unit and monitor the cleaning progress from time to time.
