First Aid Training Program for Marafiq Co. Employees

The Health Services Department in Royal Commission – Jubail had organized:
A Training Program in the First Aid for Marafiq Co. employees.

The program included:
• Lectures.
• Theoretical lessons.
• Other practical issues.

The topics deal with various issues such as:
• CPR.
• Obstruction of Respiration Tract.
• Accident, Bleeding and Injuries.
• Chemical Burns and Respiration Distress.
• Scorpion sting and snake bite.
• Poison and Drugs poison and drugs over dose.

Dr. Hussein Ghurab the Chief of the Emergency Room in the Royal Commission Hospital participated in the lectures besides the Head of the EMT Mr. Jassem Al-Awar.

The number of Marafiq participants were (44) trainees.
The practical training had included:
• Fractures fixation using different kind of Plasters.
• The correct means to carry the injured persons.
• To stop the bleeding and using of bandages.

It is worth mentioning that this was the third training course this year in 2007, making two previous sessions for Marafiq in the belief of the Department of Health Services about the importance of first aid and the awareness in saving lives.
