Health Education after Delivery

 Confined Period

  • It is necessary for the mother to walk & to move after delivery & not to exceed few hours.

  • To perform exercises for abdomen, pelvic & legs muscles.

  • In condition of the normal delivery the mother should take bath on the second day following the delivery.

  • To reduce the numbers of visits.

  • If the mother affected by Flu or throat congestion, it necessary to use mask to avoid infection of her baby during feeding.

 Feeding during Normal delivery

  • Increasing of liquids after delivery in the first day.

  • In the second day she can eat normally & no need to the fatty.

Diet following Caesarian Section

  • In the first day IV Fluid.

  • During feeding it is necessary to take fluid but not to increase them.

  • To take more Protein, Calcium & Folic Acid during Brest feeding.

The Following steps are important

  • The feeding should be started after one hour of delivery. The mother must put her baby on her chest to encourage the secretion of milk & to make the required recognition between her and her child.

  • To avoid wearing of artificial dressing especially underwear. To clean the bosoms.

  • No need to exaggerate in organizing of food in order to avoid loosing of weight during feeding.
